This piece was commissioned by a friend of mine. It is her favorite picture of her mother. The challenge here was to add some color to the drawing without loosing the feel of the black & white photo. It will be framed in a piece of barn wood from my friend's family farm. I thought adding a little wood texture in the background was the right way to go.
